<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and accurately perform construction for fixing a ceiling panel to a backing material. <P>SOLUTION: A panel fixing apparatus 10 in use includes a base 13 provided to be vertically movable, and a stage 142 provided to be floatable from the upper face of the base 13. The panel fixing apparatus has a placing space 14b for placing a T-bar 4 on the upper face of the stage 142, and a support base 144 for arranging the ceiling panel 1 with a space from the upper face of the stage. The T-bar 4 is disposed near a predetermined fixed position of the backing material 2, together with the ceiling panel 1 in an upward floating state without being placed on the flange 4a of the T-bar 4, and the T-bar 4 is fixed into the fixed position of the backing material 2.
