<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately detect a flicker even when performing zoom photographing by reading a specified area of an image sensor. <P>SOLUTION: The image capture apparatus includes: an X-Y address scan type image sensor 113 for converting an object image image-formed by an imaging lens 111 to electric signals; a flicker detection unit 135 for detecting a flicker of a light source which illuminates an object; a switching unit 143 for switching the state of driving the image sensor by a first driving method of reading pixel signals within the range of the maximum angle of view that the image sensor can photograph and the state of driving it by a second driving method of reading the pixel signals within the range of the angle of view narrower than that in the first driving method; and a control unit 133 for controlling the switching unit so as to be the state of driving the image sensor by the first driving method while the flicker detection unit detects the flicker and to be the state of driving the image sensor by the second driving method when the flicker detection unit has completed flicker detection. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
