PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a particle beam treatment apparatus and an irradiation nozzle device, ensuring the space for installing a beam transport chamber in the irradiation nozzle device to achieve a beam with a smaller diameter by a beam scanning irradiation method. SOLUTION: An X-ray tube 1 located inside the scanning type irradiation nozzle device including scanning magnets is moved to the position of an X-ray detector 3 in the conventional structure, and, on the contrary, the X-ray detector 3 is installed inside the irradiation nozzle device 55. The X-ray detector 3 is thinner in the beam axial direction and simpler in structure more than the X-ray tube 1, so that the space for installing the beam transport chamber 12 can be ensured in the irradiation nozzle device 55, and also the beam transport chamber 12 in the irradiation nozzle device 55 can increase in length. Thus, scattering due to the air in the beam transport can be restrained and the beam can be reduced in diameter more than in the conventional design. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
