PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotating device with high quietness capable of outputting high rotational force. SOLUTION: A weight 22 is pushed and pulled by extending and contacting an elastic body 23 by vibrating a vibrating body 3, and a rotating body 21 can be alternately rotated clockwise and counterclockwise. At the time, the vibrating body 3 is vibrated by a natural frequency of a machine vibration system 2 to resonate the machine vibration system 2, and thereby also the rotational force can be gradually increased by gradually increasing a rotation angle of the rotating body 21. When the weight 22 exceeds a rotating position of the rotating body 21 farthest from the vibrating body 3 or a rotating position of the rotating body 21 closest to the vibrating body 3, the rotating body 21 is rotated in only a direction beyond the rotating position and the rotation can be continued. In this rotating device, the high rotational force can be easily obtained by adjusting weight of the weight 22 of the machine vibration system 2 and an elastic modulus of the elastic body 23. Since a rotor easy to generate axial deflection is not required like an electromagnetic motor, quietness when a shaft member is rotated at high speed in particular can be enhanced.
