摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct a phase or a cycle of required damping force corresponding to a vibration of a vehicle body due to an undulation on a road surface, when controlling the damping force of a vehicle shock absorber according to a vibration of the undulation on the road surface that is estimated that a wheel is to reach, based on the vibration of the vehicle body due to the undulation when running on the undulated road, and then after commencing the control. SOLUTION: The device for controlling the damping force includes: an undulation wavelength estimation part that estimates a wavelength of the undulation based on a vertical vibration generated in at least part of vehicle due to the undulation on the road surface, and a vehicle speed; a required damping force determination part that determines required damping force based on the wavelength of the undulation; a damping force controlling part that controls damping force of the shock absorber based on the required damping force; and a phase correction part that corrects a phase of the required damping force based on a phase difference between the vertical vibration of a vehicle due to the undulation and the required damping force.
