PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-joint arm with sufficient fixing strength, and a treatment instrument for coronary artery bypass surgery including the same. SOLUTION: The multi-joint arm includes a plurality of two-humped segments having inner lumens with the outer surface on the distal end side abutting to the inner surface on the proximal end side, and a string-shaped member inserted into the inner lumens of the plurality of segments and fixed in the vicinity of the most distal segment to be extended to the segment on the proximal end side. In the multi-joint arm, the plurality of segments are closely attached and fixed by pulling the string-shaped member toward the proximal end side. Each of the plurality of segments are made of materials having approximately the same hardness, and planar parts are formed in approximately the same polyhedral shape respectively on the distal-end outer surface and on the proximal-end inner surface of each segment.
