A support mechanism 100 for a container 200 includes a container coupling mechanism 104, a flap overlap mechanism 106 and an attachment mechanism 402. The container coupling mechanism 104 couples to a distal end of a first flap 202 of the container 200. The flap overlap mechanism 106 overlaps a second flap 204 of the container 200 when the first flap 202 and second flap 204 are in a closed position. The attachment mechanism 402 is configured to selectively maintain the first flap 202 and the second flap 204 in the closed position. The support mechanism 100 supports a greater force applied in a direction normal to a plane formed by the first flap 202 and second flap 204 in the closed position than a force supported by the first flap 202 and the second flap 204 without the support mechanism 100. |
