PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio communication apparatus for reducing the giving interference of a reference signal of a layer having large power to a reference signal of a layer having small power. SOLUTION: When it is assumed that there is little propagation path fluctuation of a mobile terminal for performing MIMO transmission, an OCC is used to separate a first layer and the other layers among three layers, and the second and third layers are separated by a cyclic shift. A CAZA sequence inputted to a DMRS generating section is inputted to a #0-OCC section and a #1-OCC section. The #0-Occ section multiplies inputted r(n) by a row vector c<SB>0</SB>(=[+1, +1]). On the other hand, the #1-OCC section multiplies the r(n) by c<SB>1</SB>(=[+1, -1]). For example, an output of the #1-OCC section is c<SB>1</SB>r(n)[r(n)-r(n)]. The output of the #0-OCC section is inputted to a first #0-cyclic shift section. The output of the #1-OCC section is inputted to a second #0-cyclic shift section and the #1-cyclic shift section.
