PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems that high quality data transmission can be achieved using a segment with a successful phasing state, however, only one piece of data can be transmitted per segment, and transmission efficiency of the data cannot be raised. SOLUTION: In this radio communication system which assigns one or more subcarriers among a plurality of subcarriers to a terminal, assignment information regarding a subcarrier assigned to data for one terminal is transmitted at time earlier than that of the data, the terminal recognizes the subcarrier to which the data to a self-station is assigned from the assignment information, and performs retrieval by limiting a frequency area to be retrieved in the case of retrieving an information position where scheduling information to the self-terminal is described in the area where the assignment information is described.
