An efficient signaling is used to enable an increase of the number of ports to a greater number than the conventional number of ports, thereby achieving high transmission efficiency. Provided is a communication system wherein a base station (101) uses a spatial multiplex transmission to transmit at least one piece of transport data to a terminal apparatus. The base station transmits a reference signal in addition to the transport data. The base station further transmits a control signal including: a first field in which mapping has been performed for control information for distinguishing between first and second transmission schemes; a second field in which mapping has been performed for spatial multiplex information, which indicates the number of pieces of transport data to be spatial-multiplexed and transmitted, or for reference signal group information, which indicates a group including the reference signal, and for power offset information which indicates a difference in power between the reference signal and the transport data; and information indicating parameters related to the transport data. The terminal apparatus uses the control signal to identify the reference signal and the difference in power between the reference signal and the transport data. |
