The invention relates to a tray for transporting and displaying items such as yoghurt cartons. The tray includes a bottom wall (3) and four side walls (4, 7) hingedly connected to the bottom wall and folded upwards such as to extend in a plane substantially perpendicular to the bottom wall, and at least one stacking lug (8) extending upwards away from a side wall, the tray being obtained by folding from a rectangular blank of corrugated cardboard. The tray is characterised in that the portions of the blank intended for forming the lugs (8) are included in the rectangular contour of the blank, determining the height of the side walls (4, 7) of the tray. The invention can be used to make trays for transporting yoghurt cartons.
