<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric hair styling appliance which enhances appearance and texture of hair by contacting to a wider surface area of a large amount of hair fiber. <P>SOLUTION: The electric hair styling appliance 1 includes: a handle 2; a barrel 4; and a heat element enclosed in the barrel 4 and adapted to produce heat from electrical energy. A clamping spoon 9 is turnably arranged in the appliance and includes an actuating lever 10 to enable a user can press down on the handle 2 with the thumb while holding it.
