PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roof structure which improves the rigidity of the whole roof to horizontal force, since each of rafters installed facing on both sides of a ridge hardly falls in the reverse direction and each of sheathing roof boards installed facing on both sides of the ridge is integrally displaced. SOLUTION: Connecting members 15 are continuously installed between the rafters 13 adjacent in the axial direction of a ridge beam 11 and on the ridge beam 11. The connecting members 15 are fixed onto the ridge beam 11 while driven with fasteners such as nails 16 obliquely downward from the side. Fasteners such as nails 17 are further driven toward the upper faces 23 of the connecting members 15 from the top of the sheathing roof boards 14 to fix the sheathing roof boards 14 to the connecting members 15. The sheathing roof boards 14 arranged facing both sides of the ridge beam 11 are joined to each other through the connecting members 15.
