The method involves determining an utilizable value from data provided in a communication station (1) for data units (4-7) to be transferred by communication channel in terms of figures by the communication station. The utilizable value is determined using a sensor such as radar sensor (12), wheel sensor (22), satellite navigation system (23) i.e. global positioning system, and rain sensor (24) and detecting physical quantity. Transmission of the data units by the communication channel is performed or initiated based on the utilizable value assigned to the data units. An independent claim is also included for a communication station with a control program to perform a method for transferring data between two communication stations.
