<p>Disclosed is a combustion control device for internal combustion engines that is applied in internal combustion engines having a glow plug (23) that heats the gas within cylinders, wherein the combustion control device is equipped with a compression end temperature estimation means that estimates the compression end temperature (Tt), which is the temperature of the gas within the aforementioned cylinders when the position of pistons that reciprocate within the aforementioned cylinders is at the compression top dead center, and a compression end temperature adjustment means that, in cases in which the compression end temperature (Tt) estimated by the aforementioned compression end temperature estimation means is lower than a prescribed compression end reference temperature (Ttref) when the aforementioned glow plug is being operated, causes the aforementioned internal combustion engine to perform a compression end temperature raising operation, which raises the aforementioned compression end temperature (Tt) to at least the aforementioned prescribed compression end reference temperature (Ttref).</p> |
