<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving method for an image display apparatus capable of reliably achieving increase of illuminance by achieving optimization of an output signal to each pixel. <P>SOLUTION: The driving method is for the image display apparatus which includes (A) an image display panel for arranging pixels arranging first, second, third, and fourth sub-pixels along a first direction in the form of a two-dimensional matrix, and (B) a signal processing part for outputting sub-pixels and output signals on the basis of sub-pixels and input signals concerning each pixel. The driving method obtains a fourth sub-pixel and output signal on the basis of a fourth sub-pixel and control second signal obtained from first, second, and third sub-pixels and input signal of a q-th pixel when being counted along a second direction, and a fourth sub-pixel and control first signal obtained from first, second, and third sub-pixels and input signal of a neighboring pixel adjacent to the q-th pixel along the second direction to be output to a fourth sub-pixel of the q-th pixel. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
