<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve increase of a load on a storage system and performance deterioration of the storage system. <P>SOLUTION: This storage system includes: a distributed storage processing means distributing a plurality of pieces of fragment data comprising redundant data and division data obtained by dividing storage target data into a plurality of pieces to a plurality of storage means and storing them; an operation state detection means detecting an operation state of each storage means; and a data regeneration means regenerating the fragment data stored in the storage means having broken down based on the other fragment data stored in the other storage means different from the storage means having broken down when one of the storage means has broken down, according to a detection result by the operation state detection means, and storing them in the other storage means. The data regeneration means has a function to transfer the fragment data stored in the storage means scheduled that the storage means breaks down to the other storage means before the braking-down and to store them. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
