An end mounting (20) for supporting the roller (6) of a cover (4) for an architectural opening, the end mounting (20) including a main body (26) of substantially constant cross-section extending axially from a proximal end for mounting adjacent an architectural opening to a distal end for 5 insertion into an end opening (25) of a roller (6). A slider (34) is mounted in the main body (26) at an axial location towards the proximal end of the main body (26) and is movable between a retracted position wholly within the cross-section of the main body (26) and an extended position in which at least part of the slider (34) protrudes outside the cross-section of the main body (26).
