<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display video signals of a plurality of personal computers in the same screen, and to operate a plurality of personal computers through a set of input devices. <P>SOLUTION: Two personal computers are connected to a monitor, and input devices such as a keyboard and a mouse are connected. Video signals supplied from the two personal computers are written in a memory that stores video signals of a plurality of screens through the respective buffers. Video signals are read when an address range corresponding to one screen from a read start address is designated, and the plurality of video signals are displayed simultaneously in separated display regions on the display unit. One of personal computers is selected as an active computer, depending on the display region where a cursor based on an operation of operating switches or an operation of input devices is present, and an output of the input devices is supplied to the selected personal computer.
