PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate rotation failure of the outer ring 32 of a roller bearing 31 and to prevent the deterioration of pump efficiency by making rollers 33 hardly skew (side slip) even when an unbalanced load is applied from a cam to the roller bearing 31 which is a component member of a tappet 21 for a pump. SOLUTION: The rollers 33 of the roller bearing 31 are arranged in double rows in the axial direction and a cage 34 is provided for holding the rollers 33 of the double rows so that the length of the rollers 33 is shortened in the axial direction and the rollers 33 are made to hardly skew. Further, by shortening the length of the rollers 33 in the axial direction, the column portions of pockets of the cage 34 for containing the rollers 33 are reduced in length to improve workability of the cage 34.
