The assembly module comprises a receiving recess (41) for a headlight housing, which is accessible in the installation condition at the motor vehicle from the front, against the direction of travel. A mounting unit (58,60) is provided for detachably fastening the headlight housing. The mounting unit is formed to define the positioning or alignment of the headlight housing fixed at the assembly module. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a mounting arrangement for detachably fastening a headlight housing at a body of a motor vehicle; and (2) a method for mounting a headlight housing at a body of a motor vehicle.
