Disclosed is an absorbent article (1) provided with: central wing sections (21 and 22) that protrude outwards in the width direction of a main body (50) and are folded over onto the non-skin-contact side of the wearer's underwear; and a pair of leak-prevention sections (201 and 202), arranged along the front-back direction of the main body (50), that have a liquid-impermeable leak-prevention sheet (200) and a cord-like body (80) in said leak-prevention sheet. One leak-prevention section (201) has: a first join section (301) joined to a prescribed location on the part of that middle wing section (21) that is not folded over; and a second join section (303) joined to a prescribed location on the part of that middle wing section (21) that is folded over.
