<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio telemeter device in which a radio master unit with a defective radio circuit is efficiently replaceable. <P>SOLUTION: The radio telemeter device includes the radio master unit 5 and a radio slave machine 6, and conducts radio communication via a specific small-power radio system between the radio master unit 5 and the radio slave machine 6. In the radio telemeter device, the radio master unit 5 includes a nonvolatile memory and a communication means excepting radio communication via the specific small-power radio system, and can read union information as peculiar information used for recognizing a communication opposite party in radio communication via the specific small-power radio system by using the communication means from the nonvolatile memory to the outside.
