摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reach type forklift capable of accurately detecting disconnection of wiring to a magnetic encoder with an inexpensive structure. <P>SOLUTION: The reach type forklift includes: driving wheels 5 for running and changing directions; a steering device 31; and a steering control device 51. The steering device 31 includes: a magnetic encoder 35 which is provided from a rotation side to a non-rotation side of a bearing 34 provided at a shaft of a handle 32, and detects the amount of rotational displacement of the handle 32; a torque detector 39 for detecting a torque of the handle 32; and a direction change assistance electric motor 46 for assisting the direction change of the driving wheels 5. Further, the steering device includes a disconnection detection device 71 which detects disconnection of wiring to the magnetic encoder 35 depending on whether or not there are detection signals from the magnetic encoder 35 and the torque detector 39, respectively. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
