METHOD FOR PRODUCING SILVER NANOPARTICLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for preparing a silver nanoparticle having a surface covering layer made of an amine compound using silver oxide as raw material and by reduction reaction in a liquid phase. SOLUTION: Powdery silver oxide is dispersed into a nonpolar solvent; an excess amount of formic acid is added thereto; the formic acid is acted on the powdery silver oxide; it is converted into powdery silver formate (HCOOAg); primary amine is acted on the powdery silver formate; it is converted into the primary amine-added salt of the silver formate; and then, the primary amine-added salt of the silver formate is subjected to decomposition reduction reaction at a liquid temperature of about 70°C; thus a silver nanoparticle having a surface covering layer made of the primary amine is prepared.
