PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve an elevator car which allows balance weights to be arranged as far away from the center of the elevator car as possible, and the distance from the center of the elevator car to be maintained irrespective of a loaded quantity of balance weights. SOLUTION: The elevator car, allowing the inclination in the right and left, and front and back direction when suspended with a hoisting rope to be corrected, includes: balance weight frames arranged at the four corners of the car frame in such a way that the grooves are vertically directed; and balance weights stacked in each of the balance weight frames by a necessary quantity in such a way that the gravity center is overlapped with the center of the car floor.
