PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve stopping trouble of a printing processing caused by indicating a printing on a paper with a size on which printing is impossible to a printing apparatus from a host apparatus without performing regeneration and size reduction of printing data in the host apparatus, without depending on size reduction. SOLUTION: The printing data D1 including a paper size designating command C2 for designating the paper size to be printed is received, and it is determined whether the paper size designated by the paper size designating command C2 is larger than a specified paper size with which the printing is possible. When it is determined that it is larger than the specified paper size with which the printing is possible, based on the printing data D1, divided data D2 of a plurality of pages with at most specified paper size are formed, and printing of the divided data D2 of a plurality of the pages is executed to a printing paper M1 of at most the specified paper size.
