PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a screwdriver tool which permits a quick start of a desired operation by previously attaching a protection cover so as to be relatively rotatable around a tool shaft, and considerably improves operating efficiency by sufficiently preventing operational obstruction due to the protection cover, when a male screw member including a male screw part, such as a vis, screw and valve core, is fasteningly fixed to a predetermined position, and when the male screw member is removed from the predetermined position. SOLUTION: The screwdriver tool is engaged into the valve core 3 in order to control fastening and removal of the valve core with respect to a valve stem 4. The protection cover 9 having a larger inner diameter than the tool shaft 1 is attached to the periphery of the tool shaft so as to be rotatable relative to the tool shaft. The protection cover 9 is expandingly and contractingly deformed between a contracted posture in which the protection cover is positioned adjacent to its attachment position to the tool shaft, and an expanded posture in which the protection cover is positioned to cover the front end of the tool shaft 1 or the vicinity thereof.
