<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily perform discount processing without requiring operator's discount processing operation. <P>SOLUTION: A label reading unit 53 newly captures image data D in an imaging area 70 imaged by a camera 20 and continues detecting a service indication label until the time-out of a timer 56 even if the service indication label is not detected in the image data D imaged by the camera 20. When the service indication label is detected, a code reader 2 reads service information from the service indication label and generates a service code C2, and outputs the service code C2 combined with barcode data C1 read by a barcode reading unit 52, to a POS terminal 3.
