PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic bread maker capable of directly making bread from grains. SOLUTION: A blade rotation shaft 52 disposed at the bottom of the bread container 50 is removably mounted with a grinding blade 54 non-rotatably connected thereto, and a dome-shaped cover 70 enclosing the grinding blade 54 and equipped with a mixing blade 72 on the exterior surface thereof. The mixing blade 72 is rotatably mounted thereto by a spindle 71 so as to take two attitudes, a folded attitude and an open attitude, when the blade rotation shaft 52 rotates forward, has the folded attitude so that a clutch 76 connects the blade rotation shaft 52 to the cover 70, and when rotating reversely, has the open attitude to abut on the inner wall of the bread container 50. The rotation radius from the center of the spindle 71 to the end of the mixing blade 72 is set to such a value that when the mixing blade 72 abuts on the inner wall of the bread container 50 in an incomplete open attitude during reverse rotation, the mixing blade 72 can pass through a contact part contacting with the inner wall of the bread container 50, while keeping the incomplete open attitude.
