Provided is a cordless power supply apparatus for medical or nursing-care equipment within a room, wherein usage environment of medical or nursing-care equipment within a room, such as medical or nursing-care electric-powered beds and chairs, can be maintained in a clean state by getting rid of power supply cords. The cordless power supply apparatus has installed therein a power supply unit that supplies power to the medical or nursing-care equipment within the room, and power supplied from the power supply unit is either accumulated within an electricity storage unit, or supplied to the medical or nursing-care equipment within the room. The cordless power supply apparatus also has installed therein a control circuit that controls the amount of power to be supplied to the equipment; and a power supply circuit that supplies power accumulated in the electricity storage unit to the equipment according to a signal from the control circuit.
