Disclosed is a coordinate input device capable of determining a desired function by performing a predetermined tactile operation without a user being conscious of orientation of the device. The coordinate input device is provided with a tactile coordinate input means; an acquisition means for detecting a first predetermined operation corresponding to the tactile coordinate input means and acquiring coordinate information for upon the tactile coordinate input means; a storage means for associating coordinates with a function and storing thereof; a generation means for generating operating criteria for upon the tactile coordinate input means on the basis of the coordinate information acquired by the acquisition means; and a determination means for determining the function that has been associated with the coordinates and stored at the storage means by performing a second predetermined operation corresponding to the tactile coordinate input means after the generation means has generated the operating criteria, on the basis of other coordinate information for upon the tactile coordinate input means that corresponds to the second predetermined operation.
