METHOD FOR TRANSMITTING VIDEO ON DEMAND TO DIGITAL TELEVISION BY USING REALLY SIMPLE SYNDICATION

PURPOSE: A method for transmitting VOD to a digital TV by using RSS is provided to periodically download VOD information which is newly registered from a RSS and VOD server. CONSTITUTION: A CE-HTML browser of a digital TV selects an RSS of a desired program by connecting a TV portal server through an internet network(S510). The CE-HTML browser stores an RSS indication XML file provided from a TV portal server in a folder after downloading the file(S520). An RSS application connects an RSS and a VOD server by periodically searching the RSS indication XML stored in the folder(S530). An RSS application downloads corresponding VOD if an VOD is newly updated to the RSS and VOD server(S540). A VOD file which download is completed is displayed(S550).
