PURPOSE: A ceramic filtering material for eliminating nonpoint source pollution is provided to expand the life expectancy of the filtering material by forming a mixed composition based on barite, cryolite, dolomite, and sylvite. CONSTITUTION: A ceramic filtering material for eliminating nonpoint source pollution is composed of 8 to 12 weight% of barite, 15 to 25 weight% of cryolite, 20 to 30 weight% of dolomite, and 40 to 50 weight% of sylvite. The mixed materials are pulverized into a fine powder. The size of the fine powder is between 2000 and 3000 mesh. A first sintering process is implemented at a temperature between 1500 and 200 degrees Celsius, and a secondary sintering process is implemented at a temperature between 2500 and 3000 degrees Celsius. The sintered materials are processed into a ball shape.
