METHOD TO DETERMINE SPECIFIC ELECTRIC RESISTANCE OF MATERIAL SURFACE LAYER

FIELD: physics. ^ SUBSTANCE: electric resistance (r) of material surface layer contact with metal plate is measured by multimetre. Hold-down pressure (N) is measured. Roughness (Ra) and surface layer hardness (HBC) are measured. Surface layer specific resistance (üc) is calculated by formula: , where pn is plate specific electric resistance. Note here that metal plate surface features hardness higher than that of material surface layer while plate roughness is smaller than that of material surface layer.
