PURPOSE: A top chassis of a backlight unit for LCD is provided to reduce the thickness of an upper plate and to simplify a manufacturing process. CONSTITUTION: A top chassis(600) of a backlight unit for LCD is formed in an upper plate. A side plate is expanded from the top chassis. The upper plate and the side plate including the heat dissipation embo are molded with the extrusion.
