PURPOSE: An illegal parking vehicle guiding device using a camera and a method thereof are provided to prevent a driver from illegally parking a vehicle. CONSTITUTION: A camera(10) is mounted on a vehicle to detect a parking prohibition line. A control unit(20) analyzes an image signal inputted by the camera to detect line data, compares the pattern of the parking prohibition line with detected line data to determine whether the vehicle is illegally parked. The control unit outputs a control signal about the determination result. A guide unit(40) outputs the determination result by the control signal.
