摘要

PURPOSE: A positive electrode active material is provided to improve the charging capacity and recharging efficiency of a secondary battery by enhancing mobility and utility of magnesium ions and to obtain the secondary battery having high stability, long lifetime, and excellent thermal property. CONSTITUTION: A positive electrode active material comprises magnesium metal oxides having a spinel crystal structure consisting of magnesium ions, metallic ions and oxygen ions. The magnesium secondary battery comprises: a negative electrode; a positive electrode which is arranged in order to face the negative electrode and has magnesium metal oxides consisting of magnesium ions, metallic ions and oxygen ions; and an electrolytic material accommodating the magnesium ions that is a reaction medium between the negative electrode and the positive electrode.
