The element (1) has a two-layered laminate comprising a base layer (3) and a covering layer (2), where the element is designed in form of a thread and strip. Foils that form the laminate and/or substrate are laminated against each other at longitudinal edges (4), where an open channel (5) is formed between the edges. A safety feature is provided on the base or covering layers. A moving element (6) is provided in the channel. The feature is provided in form of characters, structures e.g. surface structures, lines, symbols, texts and forms, which are provided in form of micro-impressions.
