PURPOSE: A three-dimensional image display device and method thereof are provided to implement a multi-view point image and to minimize power consumption. CONSTITUTION: A surface light source device(140) controls the directivity of light. A display panel(150) forms an image by modulating light according to image information. A controller(180) controls in order to synchronize image formation of the display panel.
