METHOD OF ASSEMBLING UPPER STAGE AND ITS DOCKING TO MULTI-STAGE CARRIER ROCKET

A method of assembling an upper stage and its docking to a multi-stage carrier rocket. After docking the first and second stages of the rocket, prior to mounting the spacecraft (SC) with an adapter on a platform, the third stage with adapter, which lower frame is fixed on the inner surface of upper frame of the third stage, is docked by the lower frame of third stage to the base of a tilter in the horizontal position by means of a movable stand. Then, a cylindrical fairing with an inverse cone is docked by the lower frame of inverse cone to the upper frame of third stage by means of a movable stand. The cylindrical fairing is undocked from the inverse cone by means of the movable stand and the tilter is turned in vertical position. After installing the spacecraft with the adapter on the upper frame of platform and turning the tilter in the horizontal position the cylindrical fairing is rolled on the spacecraft by the movable stand and the cylindrical fairing is docked by the lower frame with the upper frame of inverse cone with formation of the upper stage.
