The invented method of treating flat glass is characterized in that glass surface is subjected to the action of synthetic diamond abrasive grains incorporated in a mass of plastic fibers of a rotating brush. Glass is deglazed by brushes with rougher grains of a synthetic diamond; subsequently it is finally ground by brushes with finer grains. Brushes are also suitable for treatment of already sandblasted glass. The invention also discloses an apparatus for making the above-described method, said apparatus comprising at least one rotating brush (9, 10), which is movably or fixedly mounted above a glass plate (5) to be treated. The brush (9, 10) is provided with plastic abrasive fibers (3) with incorporated abrasive grains of a synthetic diamond. |
