A Bowden cable comprises a casing (1) and a wire (5) extending in a cavity (4) of said casing (1). Points of contact between the wire (5) and the casing (1) are unevenly distributed on the circumference of the wire (5) in each cross section. A clearance (6) extends helicoidally along the wire (5). The helicoidal clearance (6) has a pitch (L) at least equal to twice the diameter (D) of the wire (5). In each cross section the clearance (6) extends around at least half of the circumference of the wire (5).
