The device has a treatment area (2) partially separated opposite to the environment, and a supply device supplying hydrogen peroxide to the treatment area. A sensor device (10) detects parameter i.e. concentration, of the hydrogen peroxide and stays in flow connection with the treatment area over a connection line (12) in such a manner that the parameter for the hydrogen peroxide located in the treatment area is detected by the sensor device. A locking device (8) partially locks the flow connection between the treatment area and the sensor device. An independent claim is also included for a method for determining hydrogen peroxide by using a sensor device.
