Method for analysing the temporal behaviour of the data flow of distributed embedded systems

The method involves associating two tasks (1, 2) with a predecessor active chain element (3) and a successor active chain element (4), and determining a time description unit for a capacity used by one of the tasks for a time interval. The time description unit is utilized for incoming capacity and activation of the task. The incoming capacity of the predecessor active chain element of the task is determined at another time interval for utilizing the time description unit for consumed capacity of the task.
