<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a highly durable monolithic refractory containing no alumina cement and improved in strength in a medium or low temperature range without deteriorating the hot strength of a high corrosion resistant material for casting. <P>SOLUTION: The monolithic refractory comprises 0.1-3 mass% P<SB>2</SB>O<SB>5</SB>, ≤0.5 mass% CaO, 0.05-5 mass% SiO<SB>2</SB>, 0.005-1 mass% in total of lactic acid and glycolic acid, and the balance being Al<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>, MgO and other inevitable components. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
