MANUFACTURING OF FUNCTIONAL CERAMIC BALL USING THE HADONG BIPA SOIL, IT'S MANUFACTURING METHOD

PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing ceramic balls based on Hadong-Bipa-soil is provided to supply fresh water for a long period of time and improve the health of human by shaping the Hadong-Bipa-soil into a ball shape. CONSTITUTION: Paste is obtained by mixing 200 to 100 weight% of flour and 800 to 900 weight% of water and boiling the mixture with the intermediate intensity of heat. Ceramic balls are obtained by mixing and shaping 10 to 13 weight% of the paste, 5 to 7 weight% of water, and 85 to 80 weight% of Hadong-Bipa-soil. The ceramic balls are completely dried at room temperature. The dried ceramic balls are bisque fired in a pottery kiln at temperature between 1230 and 1250 degrees Celsius. The Hadong-Bipa-soil is sandy soil which is collected from the Korean specific place, the Hadong district.
