摘要 A method of determining an optimal allowance for machining products with gas-thermal coatings includes treatment of a sample taking into account a defective layer, with layer-by-layer removal of the coating for the number of passes equal to the quotient of the coating thickness by the value of cutting depth, which is chosen as small as possible for the equipment used and multiple to the coating thickness. The cutting force is determined at each pass. Further, for optimal allowance such an allowance is taken that equals to the total thickness of layers preceding the qualitative area, at removal of which the cutting force has a maximum value and remains at that level when removing the next layer in its thickness. The lower limit of allowance is located at the beginning of qualitative area or in its thickness. The surface, which is formed when the device is triggered for the value of allowable wear, will not go beyond high-quality area. Effect: increased durability of surfaces of products with gas-thermal spray coatings.
