METHOD AND APPARATUS OF TRANSMISSION POWER CONTROL IN WIRELESS LOCAL AREA NETWORK

PURPOSE: A transmission power control method in wireless LAN and apparatus thereof are provided to secure a high transmission rate and to reduce a hidden node problem by including maximum power transmission power serve field about maximum transmission power used for a channel bandwidth. CONSTITUTION: A channel sensing is proceed in a TV WS(White Space) band(S510). A beacon frame including expansion power limited information is received from a WS AP(Access Point)(520) (S520). A transmission channel and transmission power usage based on the expansion power limited information element are determined(S530). The data frame is transmitted to the WS AP(S540).
