The connection device has a connecting plate (14) arranged between a roof light (4) and a roof covering, and a seal which comprises a unit for fastening to the roof light. The connecting plate has a uniform plate spacer (15) for lateral attachment at the roof light and a uniform plate supporting surface (18) for attachment at a installation holding element (8) of the roof light. The supporting surface prevents down sliding of the connecting plate along a roof slope of the roof. The supporting surface acts transverse to attachment direction of the spacer.
